We left early as the sun was rising, walked to Broadway station and took the train to Union station and continued on to the airport. We boarded quickly (first time flying Alaska airlines) and arrived in SEA in about 2-2.5 hrs. I slept and read and Alex played games on the flight. We really enjoyed there was an electrical outlet for each seat to charge our phones and tablet--so nice! Also at check-in we got exit row seats--wootwoot!!
When we arrived in SEA we found a starbucks (we had giftcards to use) and had lunch--each had a breakfast sandwich, wheat thins (we packed) and chocolate chip cookies (we also packed). We just lounged around, Alex slept in the airport and then it was off to Anchorage---still got an exit row and more plugs!! It was a 3-3.5 hour flight---very pretty take-off into the mountains and water. I read, did some word searches, Alex too and played his games.
Once we landed, we had to wait about 2.5 hours to get our rental since we were early and didnt want to have to return the car really early on the last day, so we found another Starbucks and shared a bagel with wheat thins. Then we found an indoor movie theatre-esk spot in the airport. Super comfy chairs to watch info about Alaska and places to go. We sat there for just over an hour and then went and got our rental (Nissan Altima) and headed to the airbnb.
We saw a beautiful rainbow on the drive, it looks like trees are starting to change colors, we stopped at a walmart (kinda sketchy one) to get bananas, water, and a sandwich for tomorrow--lots of homeless people, someone stealing burritos in his jacket while we were standing close to him. We left really quickly bc I felt uncomfortable and made it to the airbnb.
It was a really nice one bedroom attached to a duplex it looked like. We both rinsed off and ate pancakes for dinner (we brought them). Then we went to sleep--stays really bright out almost all night long. At 9PM it looks like its 5pm---cloudy though and raining a little.
